Serve as a pivotal Account Technology leader, synthesizing business insights and orchestrating global teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role acts as a virtual Chief Technical Officer, providing thought leadership specifically within the PSU/Government sector. You will leverage deep expertise in Microsoft's solutions, industry trends, and customer needs, championing the voice of the customer and industry internally.
Your primary focus will be on formulating technology strategy, aligning customer requirements with cutting-edge solutions, and driving digital transformation initiatives. You'll craft mid- to long-term technical roadmaps and translate complex customer business objectives into actionable technology plans. This involves actively developing and presenting opportunities, creating demand, and mentoring peers on effective opportunity initiation and alignment with Microsoft priorities.
Lead comprehensive digital transformation journeys for clients by collaborating with corporate and cross-industry resources. You'll partner closely with line-of-business leaders and senior executives to clearly articulate the superior benefits of Microsoft technologies over competitor offerings. Furthermore, you'll empower customer technical specialists to effectively promote Microsoft solutions and map intricate technical requirements and business scenarios to Microsoft's technology platforms. Orchestrating necessary teams and partners will be key to ensuring robust demand generation and establishing best practices for account planning. Regular industry and technology briefings for customer decision-makers and their technical teams are expected, utilizing readiness resources and demonstrating expertise in developing enablement plans.
Drive customer and industry insight by applying deep expertise to identify and shape Industry Sales Kits and partner engagements. Articulate market trends, customer challenges, and growth opportunities within their specific vertical industries, drawing insights from cross-industry best practices. Synthesize business and industry insights to forecast, develop account management recommendations, and ensure organizational strategies adapt to evolving market dynamics.
Partner with senior executives to showcase how complex Microsoft technologies meet future business needs, outperforming competitors and enabling long-term growth. Provide an external perspective on existing and emerging competitive solutions. Act as a trusted Technology Mentor to customer leadership, including Technical Decision Makers (TDMs) and C-level executives. Develop extended relationships, advise on solutions, and align Microsoft capabilities with customer objectives, driving market share and leading business transformations through digital technologies.
Lead customer technology engagements, influencing technical resources from customers, partners, and Microsoft to drive business transformation. Deliver regular industry/technology briefings to customer leadership and technical teams. Create enablement plans using readiness resources for large-scale customers and drive long-term engagement and thought leadership on the Microsoft platform. Foster customer skilling initiatives.
Establish best practices for account planning, focusing on budgeting, quota attainment, consumption goals, and identifying consumption gaps. Coordinate complex extended account teams and drive business forecasting. Own the technical aspect of account plans for critical accounts. Assist customer technical specialists in messaging Microsoft offerings and develop stakeholder maps and coverage plans.
Lead Account Strategy Envisioning (ASE) with extended teams and customers to deliver outcomes through joint envisioning. Create new Stage 1 opportunities, manage consumption pipelines, and mentor peers on opportunity initiation. Define blueprints and best practices for opportunity initiation. Guide customers into the AI and Industrial Metaverse era with tailored approaches, positioning Microsoft as a future leader and plotting foundational technology roadmaps. Develop mid-term strategies and immediate opportunity pipelines for AI and metaverse projects, orchestrating execution with technical teams and partners.
Develop and drive opportunities based on industry best practices, present them to customers, and generate demand. Create and qualify opportunities for product and solution sales, leveraging multiple channels. Orchestrate MCEM lifecycle progression. Drive opportunities with Specialist Team Unit (STU), Customer Success Unit (CSU), and other teams, delivering customer-driven pitches and generating new demand. Assess the feasibility of technical customer requirements and collaborate with core engineering teams to prepare solutions.
Formulate mid- to long-term technology and business roadmaps for strategic accounts, deeply understanding business priorities and industry landscapes. Validate strategies with customer stakeholders and drive envisioning of new capabilities. Translate customer business objectives into effective Industry Technology Architectures, driving consumption and adoption of Microsoft cloud services.
Analyze customer needs, outcomes, and blockers, identifying key stakeholders for complex accounts. Partner with global executives on strategy development, gap identification, and end-to-end solutions. Lead technology adoption by plotting long-term vision and driving action. Ensure technology strategy and digital transformation execution by proactively resolving technical blockers and driving adoption.
Leverage extensive knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape and solutions to address customer needs. Build strong industry and competitive knowledge through a network of internal and external experts. Drive and leverage partner ecosystem leaders. Share knowledge with the extended team and promote customer business perspectives by leveraging competitor insights. Provide sponsorship and increase impact through partnerships.
Provide account thought leadership encompassing IT and business strategy, sharing best practices internally and coaching subsidiary resources. Partner with account executives to set strategy, own outcomes, and lead extended teams. Provide technical guidance to internal teams and create feedback loops with Product and Engineering teams. Act as the voice of the customer, industry, and internal advocate, providing insights and feedback to internal teams. Articulate the business opportunity for Microsoft based on product gaps.
Create security thought leadership with customer executives, positioning security as a business enabler and instilling a security mindset. Utilize understanding of customer technology and security needs to establish Microsoft's security credentials, build opportunities for improvement, and orchestrate execution through security specialists.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, coupled with at least 6 years of experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or a related technical/sales capacity. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, along with 12+ years of experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or a related technical/sales capacity. Additionally, 6+ years of experience in a relevant customer industry and 6+ years of experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes are highly valued.
This role is designated as Full-Time, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days per week in the office. The position is located in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
