Join EY and build a career where your unique perspective drives innovation and fosters a better working world. As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, global relationship management, and pioneering go-to-market strategies. This position is key to executing account growth plans and serving as a central liaison for global team coordination, with a focus on revenue expansion and fostering excellence in account management across multiple client accounts. You'll be instrumental in co-creating and leading account team engagement, conducting insightful internal needs analyses, and championing cross-service collaboration.
Key responsibilities include proactively developing and implementing action plans to accelerate account growth in partnership with global leadership. You will co-facilitate essential account planning and strategy sessions, and potentially manage select client relationships, such as with procurement departments. Collaboration across various functions is vital to enhance client experience and engagement. You'll also curate and advocate for relevant sector strategies and service offerings to meet account objectives, driving the adoption of solutions and managed services by working closely with stakeholders.
Further responsibilities involve fostering internal firm relationships to efficiently manage operational matters and ensure cohesive account management. Project management for key deal pursuits, assisting with proposal responses, and co-developing account onboarding for new team members are also integral. You will act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement in digital tool adoption and championing the effective use of in-house technologies, providing persuasive guidance and insights to senior professionals. Leveraging firm tools for relationship mapping, white spot analysis, and innovation initiatives will be crucial for driving growth.
This role requires 8-10 years of experience within a professional services firm, with a preference for sales enablement expertise. Prior internal or external consulting experience, particularly within global, matrixed organizations, is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate proven success in independently leading complex projects. A sector-specific focus, such as life sciences, technology, wealth management, consumer, or energy, is considered a plus.
Essential soft skills include executive-level communication and strong consultative abilities. You should possess robust networking skills and high emotional intelligence, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity with agility and an entrepreneurial mindset. Proactiveness and comfort in taking initiative in environments with minimal direct guidance are key. Technically, proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint), experience in analysis and presentation creation, and a basic understanding of financial reporting tools are necessary. Familiarity with project management and procurement portals is preferred, alongside desirable skills in negotiations and proficiency with sales/account management tools.
